SiftGroups rebrand

Logo, brand, art direction and a whole load of other stuff for a digital agency.

I've been Art Director at SiftGroups since October 2010. One of my first projects was updating our (frankly terrible) brand so we didn't look like a bunch of jokers, or a conservative IT company from Swindon.

SiftGroups is a real old-timer by agency standards, so I decided to create a visual language that referenced the original agencies of the 1950s - I wanted us to standout from the humanist sans serifs and muted tones of the competition, and express a bit of personality.

The brand's an ongoing project - as a new member of staff it was impossible for me to get right inside it and produce something definitive straight away, and because most of our brand expression is online and therefore pretty transient it seemed like it'd be more fun to make it up as we went along. So far it's been really well received both inside and outside the agency, and it's translating well across all sorts of executions, from exhibition stands to limited-run collectable postcards. SiftGroups - now with added robots.
