I've been reading a lot about the history of typography recently. That's how I roll. Anyway, I've come to the conclusion that the 19th century's where it's at. The invention of the steam engine meant printing presses could be powered and churn out loads and loads of copies of something in a fraction of the time it previously would have taken and basically gave birth to the notion of printed ephemera. And who doesn't love printed ephemera?
Also, I'd go and see anything if it had a poster as good as this, and if it featured someone called Zazel I'd go twice. At least. Look, even the Moon loves it.
